Pinstripe Ledger: Your Month in Numbers, Inside Your Client Portal

Pinstripe Ledger is the monthly snapshot we publish for bookkeeping clients: revenue, expenses, profit, and cash on one page, compared with last month, with a plain-English note from us. It is a summary of your books, not a tax filing.

What you get
Revenue, expenses, profit, cash, money owed to you, and bills you owe
When

What Is in Your Monthly Snapshot?

The four numbers that matter

Revenue, expenses, profit, and cash, each compared with the month before, so a rising cost or a falling balance is obvious at a glance.

A six-month trend

A simple chart of revenue over the last six months shows direction, not just one month in isolation.

Money in and out

What customers still owe you and what bills you owe, listed beside the headline numbers.

A note from your bookkeeper

One or two sentences on what changed and what to watch, such as an invoice that is more than 45 days old.

Built for your phone

Opens as a sheet in the iPhone and iPad app and as a card layout on the web, with large touch targets and no pinching.

Works with your records

We enter figures from your books or import the spreadsheet your accounting tool exports, whatever its column names. Anything we do not have shows as Not provided, never as zero.

How Do You See Your Snapshot?

Once your month is closed, the snapshot is waiting in your portal and you get a notification.

  1. Sign in to your workspace

Use the same Pinstripe login you use for messages and meetings.

  2. Open the Ledger tab

Select Ledger on your client dashboard. The latest published month is at the top.

  3. Tap View full snapshot

See the trend chart, money owed, bills, and our note.

  4. Ask us about it

Use Ask about this snapshot to message your bookkeeper from the same screen.

Why We Built Pinstripe Ledger

Most small business owners only look at their books when something goes wrong. A short snapshot every month, in the same place as your messages and files, turns bookkeeping into something you can actually use to make decisions.

The snapshot is one of the last steps of Pinstripe Close, our month-end process, which you can follow step by step in the portal. It sits beside Pinstripe Sync for documents and Pinstripe Talk for video calls.

Pinstripe Ledger summarizes your books for your own use. It is not tax advice and it is not a tax return. See our bookkeeping services for what we do each month.
